The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), founded in 1952, is the largest financial institution in Kuwait, with a global presence. The bank’s headquarters, a 300-meter-high tower designed by Foster+Partners, stands in the heart of Kuwait City’s growing financial district, Sharq. The building’s design combines innovative structural elements with passive energy-efficient features to withstand Kuwait’s extreme climate. 
Given the building’s scale and complexity, the challenge for the maintenance and engineering teams was to implement a comprehensive, efficient solution for managing the building’s systems and ensuring their long-term functionality. This required a solution capable of integrating the building’s 3D BIM model into daily maintenance tasks while enhancing the Preventive Maintenance strategy. 

To address these challenges, the Concessionaire partnered with YouBIM and Projacts Kuwait to implement YouBIM software as the central tool for the building’s maintenance strategy. The process included:

  YouBIM was fully integrated into the maintenance operations to streamline the workflow and improve the overall efficiency of the maintenance team. The software was tailored to support both daily maintenance tasks and the long-term Preventive Maintenance plan, allowing technicians to stay ahead of potential issues.
